Preparing for the Holiday Season

There’s no doubt about it - the holiday season is the busiest time of the year!

You want to make sure that you’re not leaving any money on the table - so you need to prepare for the Holiday season NOW!

So get your calendar out and let’s get planning!

The first thing you need to do is work backwards and determine your order by date to ensure delivery by Christmas. I recommend making your deadline at least one week before Christmas. So you would share with your customers that they need to order by December 17th at the latest to guarantee Christmas delivery.

With the delay in shipping from home office, you’ll want to be clear with your customers that new releases cannot be guaranteed to be delivered by Christmas if they are ordered after November 15th. So if you’re someone who posts new releases as soon as you order them, be sure to let them know that after November 15th - items might not arrive in time for you to ship before Christmas if they are needed for gifts. The last thing you want is a customer to not receive an item that they purchased for a gift in time.

Between November 15th and December 17th (or whenever you set your Christmas deadline) you’ll want to focus on showing pieces that you have in stock and ready to ship.

Holiday Live Theme Ideas:

  • Red + Green - Show all of your red + green pieces!

  • Holiday Party - Show all of your Zi pieces as well as all elegant pieces that would be perfect to wear to a Christmas or New Year’s Eve party!

  • Bracelet Bar - Staking bracelets is a hot trend! Go live and show all of your bracelets and how to stack them! Have some stacks planned out before you go iive and also ask your viewers to pick out some pieces they would like to see stacked together. This is a great way to upsell and show your customers that they don’t have to be tied down to just wearing one bracelet!

  • Mystery Bags - Put some hot pieces aside now to do mystery bags later. You can select the $ amount for each bag. My customers love the $25 bags (5 pieces) and I give them free shipping if they purchase one. Make sure that there’s at least one super HOT piece in each bag and give your customers a preview of the hot pieces that they could get in their mystery bags.

  • Blessed to Bless - Pick an organization that you would love to bless. I highly recommend finding a local women’s shelter to do this. Then show all of your inspirational pieces and encourage your customers to order an extra piece (or two) that can be donated to the women’s shelter to be used as words of encouragement for them.

  • Angel Tree / Toys for Tots - Tis the season for giving back. Go live and set a goal for # of pieces sold. For example - for every 25 pieces you sell on the live, you’ll purchase an item off of an Angel Tree or something for Toys for Tots!

So what are some things that you can do between now and the prime shopping time?
